You get a fully funded campaign in 8 hours.
And then some.
Noah Averbach-Katz played Ryn on 3 episodes of Star Trek: Discovery and is married to Mary Wiseman, a series regular on the show (Ensign Sylvia Tilly).
The Kickstarter launched on February 22nd, 2022 and doubled its initial goal in the first 24 hours!
As Noah describes, he went from utter relief (that it was a success) to abject terror (that it was a success) in those first 8 hours when the T1D community SHOWED UP to support this amazing example of representation.
Meet Noah Averbach-Katz
Noah Averbach-Katz is a Trekkie, actor on the hit CBS series Star Trek: Discovery, type 1 diabetic, and DND enthusiast.
He came up with the idea for the Type 1 short film while laying on stage for 45 minutes at a time during a play where he played a dog.
